Campaign features a new direct-to-camera appeal from the lead singer and leading Trump critic.
WASHINGTON – Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – Today Home of the Brave announced its newest advisory board member, Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys, whose music has been vocally pushing back against fascism and authoritarianism since 1996.
Casey made a video with a direct appeal for people to join the project, and recorded an exclusive interview sharing his reasons for speaking out. He is a longtime political activist and talks about using his platform to call out punk rock bands that have chosen to stay silent in the face of Trump’s authoritarian actions. You can watch his interview here:
“Growing up here in Massachusetts, you learn to never take shit from a bully. And if a bully’s in your face, you stand up and push back,” Casey says. “That’s why I’ve been so loud about how Trump’s ruining our country.”
He continues: “Trump’s a bully who’s bad for America, and it’s time to stand up to him. That’s why I’m part of Home of the Brave, a new project telling the stories of the very Americans who Trump’s awful agenda is impacting … Bullies like Trump only win when we’re silent, so speak up today.”
