Fifteen-second spot to run on streaming platforms for three weeks; targets renters in the nine cities where home prices have surged

WASHINGTON – Wednesday, March 4, 2026 – Today, Home of the Brave launched a new six-figure ad campaign targeting American renters with Donald Trump’s statement, “I want to drive housing prices up.” The campaign comes as home prices continue to reach new heights, and millions of renters find homeownership out of reach. You can view the ad here:

The ad will run for three weeks on CTV (streaming), targeting people who currently rent in the nine areas that have seen some of the most extreme home price increases over the last decade: Detroit, Tampa, Dallas, Phoenix, Columbus, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Nashville.

While families across the country are struggling to save for a down payment on a home, competing with investors in a shrinking housing market, and watching prices climb further out of reach, the President of the United States displayed just how little he cares for everyday Americans trying to become homeowners.

“With these comments, the president showed his contempt for the millions of Americans who aspire to own a home, and find themselves no closer to achieving their dream,” said Sarah Matthews, advisory board member and spokeswoman for Home of the Brave. “This isn’t a gaffe. He’s openly siding with the ultra-wealthy and elites over young families, veterans, and regular people.”

Home of the Brave is an initiative dedicated to highlighting the harms of this administration’s policies and urging leaders to speak out. We’ve released more than 200 first-person testimonial videos of Americans sharing how the administration has hurt them, and we publish a newsletter on Substack to highlight these stories.
