“Taking benefits away from veterans is absolutely unacceptable”
Bill, a U.S. Navy veteran, is concerned about proposed federal cuts to veterans’ benefits and Alzheimer’s research. He now relies on VA healthcare and was alarmed to hear uncertainty from his physician about the future of local services. He was also his late wife’s primary caregiver, he saw firsthand the need for continued research and federal support. He worries about people who are currently being diagnosed, or have not yet, not being able to receive cutting edge care due to federal cuts to Alzheimer’s research.
