I was shot by ICE for playing my guitar at a protest.
Josie is a musician who showed up to play her guitar at a protest at the Broadview ICE detention center. For peacefully exercising her First Amendment rights, ICE agents shot her with a “less lethal” munition. The round went through both sides of her guitar, hitting her in the leg with enough force to leave a massive bruise. She’s seen fellow citizens arrested and detained for peacefully protesting just like her, and she’s committed to not giving up the fight—no matter how inhumane the response from federal agents.
