The business is headquartered in Akron, Ohio and provides good-paying local jobs to the community. But they source their components—thousands of them—from all over the world. Because of the tariffs, those costs are now through the roof.
Julie has already had to pay $60,000 in tariffs, and that number is likely to triple in 2026. If this continues, she will have to face the possibility of cutting staff, or even losing her business altogether.
She has a message for the Trump administration and everyone responsible for enabling these destructive policies: People are hurting, all of America knows you’re at fault, and no one is buying the lies you’re selling.
