Ron Kurnik, president and CEO of Superior Coffee Roasting in northern Michigan, said tariffs have sharply raised costs on imported beans—especially Brazil’s, now taxed at 50%—and on packaging from China. With margins already tight and Canada adding retaliatory tariffs, his business is struggling to absorb the increases and may have to pass them on to consumers.
